1- What Breaks Wudu: Things that invalidate Wudu

1- Passing Gas: It is believed that burp or flatulence, which involves the discharge of gas from the rectum, breaks wudu. This covers both intentional and unintentional events.

2- Using the Bathroom: Any bodily excretion, including urination, defecation, or passing pee, renders wudu invalid. Prior to renewing wudu, appropriate cleansing is required.

3- Loss of Consciousness: If someone passes out while praying, sleeping, or for any other reason, their wudu is nullified. The replenishment of wudu is necessary in order to regain consciousness.

4- Wudu is broken by direct touch with blood, pus, or other physiological fluids. In such circumstances, wudu must be performed once more after cleaning the damaged area.

5- Deep slumber: Wudu is invalidated if a person is in a deep slumber in which they are fully unconscious of their environment and their own motions.

6-Touching Private Parts: Direct contact with one’s private parts without a barrier can break wudu. This is seen as a measure to maintain purity and respect.

7-Emission of Sexual Fluids: The emission of sexual fluids due to sexual thoughts, dreams, or actions breaks wudu. Ghusl (ritual bath) is required before engaging in worship.

8-Eating Camel Meat: According to some interpretations, consuming camel meat nullifies wudu. However, this is a subject of debate among Islamic scholars.

9-Laughing During Prayer: In some schools of thought, laughing loudly during Salah invalidates wudu. A calm and focused state is encouraged during worship.

2- Q & A on what breaks the wudu (hanafi Fiqh)?
Touching a dog in wudu

The dog itself is not essentially filthy (najis al-`ayn) in the Hanafi school, unlike pigs. However, its saliva is filthy. Thus, touching a dog does not make one’s body or clothes filthy.

If a dog’s saliva touches one’s skin, the soiled area should be washed thoroughly. The dog’s saliva touching one’s skin will not invalidate one’s wudu.

This is unrelated to keeping a dog–this is impermissible, for other than genuine needs (such as shepherding or guarding), as established by many rigorously authenticated hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace

3- Laughing in wudu

Just smiling doesn’t break the wudu. Laughing out loud breaks the wudu

Sneezing in wudu

Sneezing in Wudu doesn't break Wudu

4- Does bleeding break Wudu?

Blood [or other impure substances like pus] must meet the following criteria in order to invalidate ceremonial washing (wudu):

a) leave the body; and

b) flow past the exit point really or effectively (such that it would have flowed if left unwiped);

Anything that renders ritual washings (wudu) ineffective is unclean. The [Multaqa al-Abhur]

Blood that showed on the body surface but did not flow past the point of exit is an example of anything leaving the body without invalidating wudu. Tanwir al-Absar and Mutaqa al-Abhur.
